This 60-minute consult (in-home or virtual) is ideal for families looking for focused, expert help with a specific feeding challenge or to check in and feel more confident. Whether you’re breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, or using formula—this is your time to be seen, heard, and supported.
Common reasons to book a one-off consult include:
Painful latching or nipple damage
Bottle refusal or difficulty switching between breast and bottle
Concerns about milk supply or pumping efficiency
Navigating formula, combo feeding, or weaning
Flange fitting or pump setup
A general feeding “tune-up” to regain confidence
You’ll leave with a tailored plan, helpful resources, and follow-up notes to keep you on track. If you need more support afterwards, you can upgrade to a package within 7 days and have the consult fee credited toward it.

Overnight Feeding Support (In-Home) – $450/night
A full overnight stay (typically 9pm–6am) where I’m present in your home to assist with feeds—whether you’re breastfeeding, pumping, or using bottles. I’ll help with positioning, burping, tracking, and soothing so you can rest between feeds. Ideal for families navigating cluster feeding, bottle refusal, or pumping overnight.Evening Wind-Down Visit – $175
A 2-hour evening visit (between 6–9pm) to help with cluster feeds, bedtime routines, and troubleshooting evening fussiness. Perfect for newborns with “witching hour” struggles.Home Feeding Setup – $125
A one-time, 60-minute home visit to optimise your feeding and pumping setup. Includes pump station organisation, flange fitting, bottle washing workflow tips, and nursery/bedside setup recommendations.Partner Support Session – $99
A 45-minute session just for your partner or support person to learn how they can confidently assist with feeding, soothing, pumping, and bottle prep. Great for helping partners feel empowered and involved.Back-to-Work Transition Support – $149

Terms & Conditions

By accessing this website, booking a consultation, or engaging in any services provided by Supported Lactation, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Payment & Booking
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment or package.
Packages (e.g. Feeding Focus, Feeding Foundations, Feeding Flourish) must be used within 30 days of the start date unless otherwise arranged.
Add-on services may be booked separately or alongside a package and are subject to availability.
2. Cancellations & Rescheduling
One-off consults: Cancellations or reschedules require at least 24 hours’ notice. Changes with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a $50 rebooking fee.
Intensive packages: Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours before the package start date to receive a full refund (minus a 5% admin fee). Refunds after this time are not guaranteed and are considered case by case.
Rescheduling within a package requires 12 hours’ notice. Missed visits without notice may be forfeited unless due to illness or emergency.
If Supported Lactation needs to reschedule due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, every effort will be made to offer an alternative time within the same week. If this is not possible, replacement or refund is at the discretion of Supported Lactation.
3. Scope of Practice
Supported Lactation provides evidence-based, non-judgemental infant feeding support, including breastfeeding, expressing, bottle feeding, and formula use.
Clinical concerns outside the IBCLC scope will be referred to your Lead Maternity Carer (LMC), GP, or other appropriate healthcare provider.
Services are supportive and educational and do not replace medical care provided by your midwife, GP, or Well Child provider.
4. Messaging Support
Some packages include weekday text and voice memo support (9am–6pm NZT).
Messages are usually responded to within a few hours; please allow up to 24 hours during busy periods.
For urgent or medical concerns, contact your LMC, GP, Healthline (0800 611 116), or call 111 in an emergency.
5. In-Home Visits
In-home services require a safe and respectful environment. If anyone in the home is unwell, please advise ahead of time to reschedule.
In-home visits are included within the Manawatu region, covering Palmerston North, Feilding, Ashhurst, Longburn, and Aokautere/Fitzherbert.
Travel to Foxton, Himatangi, Bulls, Sanson, Horowhenua, Ōtaki, Tararua, Shannon, Whanganui, and other areas may incur a travel fee. Please enquire at the time of booking for a personalised quote.
6. Virtual Services
Virtual consults are available nationwide within New Zealand via a secure video platform.
A stable internet connection and private space are recommended.
You may record the session for personal use only; redistribution is not permitted.
If technical issues occur, every effort will be made to reschedule or extend your session. Missed appointments due to client-side issues may be rebooked at the discretion of Supported Lactation.
7. Privacy & Confidentiality
All client information and records are kept strictly confidential and securely stored.
Information will not be shared without written consent, unless required by law.
8. Liability
Feeding outcomes vary and are influenced by many individual and medical factors.
Supported Lactation provides support and guidance to the best of professional ability but cannot guarantee outcomes.
You accept responsibility for decisions made based on the support received.
